The following conditions apply to obtain psychoeducation via email.

1. At present all transmitted information will not be encrypted or protected for security purposes. Though unlikely, it will be theoretically possible to the information to be viewed by someone other than in this office. Be aware of this as you provide information.

2. No psychological testing will be done via email.

3. The client (you) will know the professional qualifications of the expert with whom you are dealing. The client is certainly welcome to consider qualifications prior to any commitment to the helping process. At present, all staff have doctoral degrees in psychology and are licensed by the state of California.

4. The client may request a male or a female professional.

5. The client may discontinue at any time.

6. The actual format will be as follows:

a. The client will present any statement of a problem s/he wishes and then may ask questions related to that problem or circumstance. b. The helping professional will respond to the statement and questions within a maximum of 72 hours with thoughts, direct answers, and considerations as appropriate. The professional may also ask questions and seek additional information basic to providing the best possible information to the client. c. The process will repeat itself until the problem is settled or until the client chooses to withdraw.

7. The process will be billed as follows:

a. The initial email session will be billed at $25.00. This will cover the professional's response as well as creation of the basic records for chart and billing. b. Each subsequent email will be billed at $17.00. c. The client can be billed through VISA or MasterCard. A personal check will also be accepted, but the check for the previous session must be received prior to a future response. d. If the client chooses to pay via credit card, that information may either be provided via email or the office will send a form upon which pertinent information can be recorded. This form can either be emailed for your printer or sent hardcopy via postal service. e. The client will also be sent a signature form for acceptance of the terms and conditions of the psychoeducational process.
